Well what a 12 months it’s been! I hope everything is doing ok, (which in itself is a daft sentence, is anyone really ‘ok’?). We have all been tested so much in so many different ways. I’ve had days where I thought I would have to give up this little business of mine, which felt irrelevant anyway against the backdrop of everything else going on. But as the year has gone on I’ve realised how important photography is to me, how much joy it brings and how much I missed working with you all, all of the families and couples that I enjoy meeting, getting to know and capturing on my camera (often more than once, which is such an honour).
As a mum of two, with kids home 24/7 for months on end, I’ve had hardly any time to work, and restrictions also limited the work I could do. However, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now, and I feel optimistic gearing back up for many more years of capturing hundreds of beautiful moments with hundreds of wonderful people!
For now, I would love to share the handful of shoots I did manage to do this year during periods where restrictions were lifted or I was able to under the guidelines.
First up is the lovely Cori from last September who was looking for a relaxed shoot with her husband and two (utterly gorgeous) sons. I’ve been to Bourton-on-the-Water a few times and was really excited to go back there, we decided to venture into the nature reserve on the cusp of the town for a bit of privacy and greenery. They came equipped with picnic blanket, snacks and bubbles – I love the preparation! And these little props lent themselves to some gorgeous moments. I truly adore my job. Thank you Cori and family for letting me photograph you in a crazy year :-).
