I was so happy when I got contacted a few months ago by Audrey who was planning a surprise photoshoot to celebrate her mother’s 60th birthday. They had hired a gorgeous cottage in the village of Old Minster Lovell, and really wanted an hour of time just documenting the family (including her beautiful baby daughter). My favourite shoots are alway those where I am simply a fly one the wall with a camera, I love taking photos of people interacting with each other and their surroundings, especially when the surroundings are a stunning old Cotswolds cottage!

We were unlucky with the weather as it was absolutely pouring with rain, but thankfully that didn’t stop us, we managed to get out side and find a pretty little floral ‘archway’ in the garden and get some slightly more posed (but still natural) photos of the family there. I always say to my clients that even though cloudy, or even rainy, weather can feel like it will ruin a shoot, it actually give us the BEST lighting for photography, lovely and even (and the natural light inside the cottage was falling so beautifully too!) and I definitely think a little rain just adds fun to photos!

Once again, a wonderful experience with great people. Thank you so much for having me.
