Although I’m officially taking a break from shooting full weddings, I couldn’t turn down the chance to do a little elopement coverage for the lovely Beth and Chris back in April. They literally just wanted photos of before and after the ceremony, they had a really private, intimate ceremony with their little girl and two of their closest friends with their daughters too. I have never photographed a wedding where I haven’t photographed the ‘wedding’ part, but actually it was really lovely, and really special, and made me kinds of wish I’d eloped and done something similar! Everything was super calm, the girls behaved beautifully and Beth looked fabulous in her dress which showed off her wonderfully cute baby bump!
They had come to the stunning backdrop of Somerford Keynes for their celebration, so when they returned from the ceremony I took Beth and Chris for a little wander around the lakes with my massive rainbow brolly (always a staple for rainy weddings!) and then we brought their gorgeous daughter out to join us and her expressions were just priceless! It was such a lovely day, so simple but still as special as any other wedding. I think I may even be tempted back to weddings someday via the non-traditional/elopement route! Really enjoyed the uniqueness of their day and think it might be a niche to work on going forwards!
There’s a selection of pics below, as always! Thank you for having me Beth and Chris! x
