I first photographed Sebi when he was a few weeks old so I was really excited to go back and see him again for his first birthday celebrations. He was just toddling so we decided to go for a walk around the bristol Harbourside in the beautiful Autumnal sunshine. My family shoots are usually out in the countryside, in long grasses or in woodland so it was actually really fun to do something very different and stay within a city and work with the urban backdrops.

Bristol is such a vibrant, colourful city, so we had an abundance of interesting and creative places to take photos. And little Sebi was a dream to photograph, so happy and inquisitive and his little face full of joy and wonder. We stopped off for some (delicious) coffee and cake and even the colours of the tables and chairs seemed to invite a photograph as they made Sebi’s gorgeous blue eyes just pop even more.

It was a wonderful afternoon and lovely to catch up with the whole family again. Thanks for having me back Eli and Flo, and lovely little Sebi.
