Creative, documentary lifestyle photographer covering The Cotswolds and Bristol

No posing, a little gentle encouragement and direction, but mostly observation, conversation and the occasional sound of a shutter. I’ve been photographing families and couples for five years now, and love nothing more than capturing those beautiful, natural moments that occur when clients feel completely at ease and able to just be themselves.

Documentary family and child photographer

Natural smiles, meaningful interactions and otherwise unseen moments, these are the core elements of  documentary style photoshoots. If the thought of saying ‘cheese’ through gritted teeth into a camera makes you cringe, then we will definitely get along! I prefer to capture real connections, sometimes this means encouraging interactions and  conversations,  sometimes it means me simply standing back and observing, only taking photos when the magical moments appear (which they always do when given the space to). Family and child shoots can be done in any location or in the comfort of your own home. For more information and examples of my work click here

Emotive, authentic portraits for couples

Having beautiful, meaningful photos of your relationship shouldn’t just be reserved for weddings days. I photographed weddings for four years and always held pre-wedding shoots to simply capture the couple as they were and this was often my favourite part of the process. I decided to break these ‘couples sessions’ out into their own niche, sometimes for engagements and anniversaries, or just to mark milestones or occasions that are meaningful to each couple.
